'Exciting new operator' set to open in Nottingham's former MOD Pizza restaurant

An empty restaurant in a prime Nottingham location, overlooking Old Market Square, could soon be opening its doors.

MOD Pizza closed last March at the start of the pandemic and failed to reopen in July when the first lockdown came to an end.

In September it was revealed the company had gone into liquidation and even though the Nottingham restaurant was profitable, all nine branches in the UK closed for good.

But after standing empty for more than a year, FHP Property Consultants has teased that a new restaurant is one its way.

An 'under offer' sign has gone up in the window promising "an exciting new operator coming soon. Watch this space".

MOD (Made on Demand) Pizza opened in Nottingham in 2016, and it wasn't unusual to see lengthy queues outside on giveaway days with freebies for students celebrating exam results or to mark the anniversary of the opening date.
