Exciting Hibs youngster Ethan Laidlaw bags trial with Premier League giants Liverpool

Hibs youngster Ethan Laidlaw has been taken on trial by Premier League giants Liverpool, with the teenage striker joining up with the Anfield side's development squad.

Laidlaw is only 16 but he's already earned himself the reputation as one of the most exciting products to come through the Easter Road academy in several years, and has already been to Elland Road to visit Leeds United.

But this week it was the turn of Jurgen Klopp's star-studded Reds to take a sneak peek at Laidlaw, with the Hibs hierarchy giving permission for the exciting talent to spend the week on Merseyside.

As well as Leeds and Liverpool, the teenager has already attracted interest from top English clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea, according to the Daily Record, after he was handed his first professional contract in February.

Jack Ross and his coaching team have high hopes for Laidlaw but given his potential and the calibre of suitors interested in him, keeping hold of the precocious talent could prove pretty difficult for the Leith side.
