Exciting Harry Kane prediction ahead of Man United clash as Tottenham are dealt transfer blow

Here is the Tottenham morning digest on Thursday, June 4.

Betis close in on new deal for Spurs 'target' - report

Real Betis are set to offer reported Tottenham and Crystal Palace target Loren Moron a new deal, according to Canal Sur Radio.

It had been reported that Spurs boss Jose Mourinho was keen on bringing the 26-year-old striker to north London next season, but reports suggest Betis’ deal for Moron is all but done.

Moron’s deal will reportedly run to 2024 with a £45million release clause that may deter even Europe’s top clubs in the current climate.

The forward had scored nine goals and grabbed two assists in 16 La Liga games and was one of the Spanish top flight’s in-form stars prior to the league’s suspension.

Spurs release statement after positive Covid-19 test

Tottenham have confirmed they have one case of coronavirus from the latest round of Covid-19 testing.

"We have been informed by the Premier League that we have received one positive test for Covid-19 following the latest round of testing at our Training Centre," said a statement on the club's website.

"Due to medical confidentiality, the individual’s name will not be disclosed.

"They are currently asymptomatic and will now self-isolate for seven days, in line with Premier League protocol, before undergoing further testing.”

Berbatov believes Kane can fire Spurs to Champions League spot

Former Spurs striker Dimitar Berbatov thinks Harry Kane’s return from injury could help fire Spurs back into contention for a Champions League spot.

"I have been watching Harry Kane's recovery, he's been training individually and I saw him doing some work on his shooting and have been impressed,” Berbatov said in his column for Betfair.

"He is ready, which is great news for Spurs and not so good news for the rest of the league.

"Spurs are seven points off the top four which is big but not so big at the same time.

"They are a serious team, especially with Kane coming back, so I will expect them to put up a good fight to try and close the gap on the top four, they will need some results to go their way, but first of all they need to do their own job to put them in a strong position should teams slip up.”
