'Excellent' - What Peterborough United fans made of Bristol Rovers in goalless draw

Peterborough United fans were unanimous in their praise for Bristol Rovers following yesterday's goalless draw between the two sides.

The Gas had endured a difficult week, losing manager Graham Coughlan and his assistant Joe Dunne to Mansfield Town, but kept up their play-off push with a draw against their fellow challengers.

Peterborough themselves were missing a large number of first-team players, and both sets of fans went home satisfied with the draw.

Phil Adlam: Point on the road against a tough side who have had an excellent campaign. Second at Christmas. Credit to the 352 Posh fans who braved the conditions.

Ben: Good point away from home, could’ve taken three but just wasn’t meant to be. Into the top two for Christmas!

Football Fanatic: Sounded like a determined draw for Posh at The Memorial today, excellent save by Pym at the death to maintain the point. second in the league going into the Christmas set of fixtures, can’t complain! Ipswich lacking form too.

Phil While: Considering the players we had out, I’ll take a draw from a tricky place to go! Very much a sign of a team heading towards their final destination of promotion when we can keep it ticking over!

The Posh Blog: More points on the board and we move up the table! Bristol Rovers a decent side so will definitely take the point away from home. Need to make sure we move into 2020 still in the automatic spots! Massive next couple of games.

Mick D: Another game we would have lost last season.

Chris Abbott: Decent performance and a decent result. Another clean sheet! All in all a good away point.

Phoebe: Decent point against a good side. Ipswich and Wycombe losing, shame we couldn’t capitalise it! Second in the league, Merry Christmas!
