Excavator worth £10,000 is stolen from building site in Tredegar

An excavator worth around £10,000 has been stolen from a building site and now police are appealing for information to help with their inquiries .

Gwent Police are appealing for information after the machine went missing between 5am and 6.30am on Friday, July 17 from Rhoslan in Tredegar.

Police believe three men were involved in the theft and that the machine was loaded onto a white flatbed Mercedes.

Today Gwent Police shared an image they said hoped would help lead to information on the stolen excavator.

A statement from Gwent Police said: "An excavator, worth about £10, 000, has been stolen from a site in Rhoslan, Tredegar.

"It happened between 5am and 6.30am on Friday July 17."

They added: "We believe three men were involved in the theft. The machine was loaded onto a white flatbed Mercedes.
