Hibs fans react to Alex Gogic link, and they reckon he's exactly what the club needs

Hibs fans have been reacting with excitement to news that former Accies enforcer Alex Gogic could be set to join the club.

Edinburgh Live revealed on Wednesday that the Easter Road club were interested in securing the signature of the defensive midfielder, who is a free agent after leaving Hamilton.

Gogic has earned rave reviews for his performances throughout the 2019/20 season, and several Hibees on social media reckon he'd be the perfect fit in Jack Ross' side.

Fans reckon he could help toughen the team up in the middle of the park, and go some way to filling the void left by Marvin Barley's departure last year.

Gogic could be invited to train with Hibs when they return to East Mains next week.

And Berekeye11 commented: "A trial? Gogic doesn't need to trial, one of the best defensive mids in the league."

Ross Grieve tweeted: "Gogic from Hamilton. Exactly what we need and he's a free agent."

Dale Eaton posted: "Would absolutely love to get Gogic in at Hibs. Been crying out for a player like him."

Hibs Central posted: "Hibs considering offer Alex Gogic (former Accies) a trial.

"Good defensive midfielder IMO. I wold be happy for us to take a look at him. Think Aberdeen interested as well."

Tony Anderson tweeted: "Please @HibernianFC sign Alex Gogic. He would be such a cult player at Hibs. Fans would love his hard as f*** style and be a genuine replacement for Bartley. I want his shaved head and rolled down socks patrolling the ER centre circle."
