Exact times Red Arrows fly over West Country today - all the places you can see them

Plane-lovers will have multiple chances to spot the mighty Red Arrows as they fly over large parts of the West Country today. The brightly coloured acrobatic team is performing a flypast in Henley-on-Thames and afterward will be over parts of the Cotswolds, Gloucester, Forest of Dean and South Wales.

The time to keep an eye on the sky is from around 4.28pm to 4.33pm. It obviously doesn't take the Hawk jets that long to fly across much of the south and west of the county, reports Gloucestershire Live.

Their journey begins at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire at 4pm with the Henley flypast at 4.20pm and finishes at 4.41pm. They also fly over Newbury, Minety and Royal Wootton Bassett.

It's then a sharp left turn over the A417 approaching Birdlip at 4.30pm, flying over Painswick and over the M5 to Hardwicke and then to Cinderford and Lower Lydbrook by 4.33pm .

It's then a right turn south west for the Red Arrows over Berry Hill towards Myndd-Bach in Wales by 4.36pm, west of Chepstow, over Newport and then flying north and west of Cardiff before finishing at RAF Rhoose near the South Wales coast at 4.41pm.

The sight and sound of the Red Arrows over Gloucestershire has topped and tailed this month. They used RAF Fairford as a base when they took part in the Midlands Air Show on June 2, on a day blessed with blue skies.

The Met Office forecast is for a cloudy day on Friday. But weather predictions can change and fans of the red jets will be hoping to get a good sight of them today.

If you don't get the chance to see them today, the Red Arrows will be at the Royal International Air Tattoo. The air display takes place at RAF Fairford from Friday, July 14 to Sunday, July 17.
