Exact time you can see Starlink satellites fly over the UK tonight

Starlink satellites are back tonight and will be flying over your house very soon.

If you look up to the sky, you will see dozens of tiny satellites - which look like moving stars - fly across the sky in train-like straight line.

Starlink, the name of a satellite network, was created by a private spaceflight company called SpaceX.

The mission of the project - which continues to be developed - is to provide remote locations across the world with low-cast internet.

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission has granted the company permission to fly 12,000 satellites as part of the project - and this number could eventually be increased to 30,000.

What time can you see the Starlink satellites tonight?

According to findastarlink.com, the Starlink satellites will be flying over the UK at 10.59pm tonight.

You should look from the west to the southeast to spot them.

You can enter your location here to find the days and times they'll be most visible in your area.

How best to see the Starlink satellites?

  • You can see the satellites best under a dark, clear sky
  • Try and position yourself in as dark a location as possible at your home
  • Stay away from street lights or block them out with your hands
  • Be patient, the timings may be a few minutes out depending on your location
