‘Exact opposite’ – Nottingham Forest fans spell out what’s needed in summer transfer window

It can't quite be as busy as last summer at Nottingham Forest, can it?

What turned out to be Sabri Lamouchi's final few months at the City Ground were packed with unveiling new signings - but he had gone by early October and Chris Hughton took up the task of making sure Forest stayed in the Championship.

Hughton has brought his own men too, including the January loan signings of Filip Krovinovic and James Garner, and he is expected to carry on reshaping the squad this summer.

As Forest fans perused a list of more than 150 free agents who might be in his little black book, they gave their own verdict about what was needed most.

Jake Richmond: Right back, left back, x2 attacking midfielders and an awesome striker.

Tom Faulkner: At least two Championship class forwards. We can't keep relying on loans or free agents. We tried that in the past and it hasn't worked yet.

Mark Hardy: What we need to do is stop signing 14 free/loan players each summer and instead spend some money on 3/4 actual quality players.

The key area Nottingham Forest need to address in the summer transfer window

Simon Fisher: Bear in mind that the majority of the current squad are lamouchi signings, not CH. I’m sure there will be a good clear out.

Johnny Sexton: Players that want to play for forest. Goal poachers.

John Cross: We want the next Stan Collymore!

Connor Pringle: Just do the exact opposite of what we did last summer and it'll be an improvement.

Michelle Brewer: Left and right back, creative midfielder and two strikers.

Andrew Matthewman: Younger, more athletic forward players, no more journeymen pros.

Matthew Briggs: Mowett, Reach and Diedhiou out of that list of free agents for me.

Billy Britnell: Would take Britt, Matt Smith, Kadeem Harris and Billy Boden.
