Exact location of today's 542 coronavirus cases as counties slash incidence rates

Another 542 cases of coronavirus were confirmed around Ireland today.

Sadly, another two people have died from Covid-19, the latest stats show.

The figures today reveal that 181 cases are in Dublin, 59 in Donegal, 50 in Limerick, 36 in Cork, 25 in Kildare, and the remaining 191 are spread across 20 other counties.

The latest incidence rate table with all of the cases from around the country is below.

Cavan in particular has cut its incidence rate by two thirds in just a week, from 590.7 last Sunday to 203.5 today.

Meath and Sligo also cut their rates in half.

The overall incidence rate for Ireland has fallen again to 175.5, down from 253.5 this time last week.

There were a similar number of cases last Sunday, November 1 - 552 in total.

However, hospitalisations are down from 330 last Sunday to 283 today and the numbers in ICUs have also fallen from 47 last Sunday to 39 today.

Of the cases notified today;

  • 277 are men / 264 are women
  • 64% are under 45 years of age
  • The median age is 35 years old

There has now been a total of 65,394 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ireland. Validation of data at the HPSC has resulted in the denotification of three confirmed cases. The figure of 65,394 confirmed cases reflects this.

There has now been a total of 1,947 Covid-19 related deaths in Ireland.
