Exact location of today's 456 new Covid-19 cases in Ireland as one county hit by big spike

Limerick was hit by a big spike in new cases as a total of 456 further infections were confirmed across the country.

Sadly, five more people have passed away from the killer bug.

The latest update was shared by the Department of Health this evening.

Dublin was once again the hardest-hit region with an additional 105 new infections.

But the biggest spike was seen in Limerick, which saw a jump of 85 cases.

Some concerning trends have also emerged in Meath, with 38 further infections, as well as Waterford, with 21.
