There have been a further 432 cases of coronavirus confirmed in Ireland.
The latest case figures come amid a furore over moving the entire country to Level Three of Covid-19 restrictions, after NPHET had recommended going to Level Five to curb the spread of the virus.
Dublin and Donegal had already been at Level Three, with the other 24 counties being brought up from Level Two from midnight tonight.
Of today's cases;
111 are in Dublin
51 are in Donegal
41 are in Cork
32 are in Clare
And the remaining 197 are located across 20 counties
There was no further breakdown provided in today's figures.
Another person has also sadly died of Covid-19.
The following total cases by county list was last updated at midnight on Sunday, October 4.
The Government notes that the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) have advised that in the process of validating data and reviewing addresses, county totals may change due to cases being reassigned to another county. Totals can go up or down.
