Exact location of 767 new cases as several counties see large jump

Ireland has recorded 767 new cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, health chiefs have confirmed.

Tragically, two further people also lost their lives, with both deaths occurring in October.

The latest figures brings the total number of diagnosed cases in the Republic to 62,750, while the death toll now stands at 1,917.

The jump in cases comes after infection rates took a significant drop over the weekend, seeing 416 on Saturday and 552 on Sunday.

Sadly, several counties saw a noticeable rise after the weekend.
