Ireland's daily coronavirus case numbers remain stubbornly high as a further 646 new infections were reported across the country.
It brings the number of people diagnosed here to 225,820 since the pandemic began.
And tragically, 10 further deaths were confirmed by health officials this evening.
Four of these occurred in March, one in February and one in January, while four are under investigation.
Meanwhile, some concerning trends are starting to emerge as six counties have reported a daily case count on Friday that is noticeably higher than their five-day moving average.
All of Offaly, Dublin, Meath, Kildare, Limerick and Galway have been hit by the spike, with the capital reporting the most new infections in the country with 243.

However there was some better news in Kilkenny, which has seen its numbers staying very low in recent weeks, with zero new cases reported yet again today.
