Exact location of 429 new Covid-19 cases in Ireland as five counties hit by spike

Five areas saw a noticeable spike in new coronavirus cases over the last 24 hours, it has emerged.

A total of 429 new infections have been reported across the country, while sadly four more people have died.

Dublin is once again the hardest-hit area, with 173 new cases. This is followed by Cork, with 44.

Donegal with 26, Louth with 22 and Kildare with 21 are the other areas with a noticeable increase today.

However there is some better news, with Longford reporting zero new cases, and Westmeath, Leitrim, Laois, Kerry, Sligo and Galway all reporting less than five.
