Exact location of 1,062 new Covid-19 cases in Ireland as five counties see jump

Five counties saw a spike in new Covid-19 cases in as more than a thousand were reported across the country tonight.

It emerged this evening that a total of 1,062 more people have tested positive for coronavirus in Ireland, while ten more deaths were confirmed.

The latest figures were released this evening by the Department of Health.

It brings the total number of infections here to 197,553 since the pandemic began.

And Dublin saw the highest number of cases once again with 335, while there was 137 in Cork, 73 in Wexford, 58 in Galway, 54 in Kildare and the remaining 405 cases are spread across all other counties.
