Exact location of today's 344 new Covid-19 cases in Ireland as five areas see spike

A number of regions are continuing to see stubbornly high levels of coronavirus as five counties again saw a noticeable increase in cases.

The latest figures were released by the Department of Health this evening.

A total of 344 further infections were reported across the country, while sadly four more people have died.

Dublin once again reported the highest number of new cases with 127, followed by Cork with 46.

Louth also saw a noticeable increase with 26, as did Donegal with 22 and Limerick with 20.

There were some promising signs however, as Leitrim reported zero new infections for the second day in a row.

And Galway, one of the largest counties by population, reported less than five new cases today.

Louth - 26

Roscommon - Less than 5

Waterford - 12

Offaly - Less than 5

Meath - 15

Westmeath - Less than 5

Dublin - 127

Monaghan - 8

Kilkenny - 9

Cavan - 5

Tipperary - Less than 5

Clare - 7

Carlow - Less than 5

Kerry - 6
