Exact diversion route around A30 closure after serious crash

Police have put a diversion in place after a serious crash on the A30.

Officers have closed the dual carriageway in both directions following the incident at Sourton Cross on the Devon/Cornwall border.

It is understood the crash is between a car and a tractor and it happened at 1.30pm. It is believed the air ambulance has landed at the scene.

There is currently a diversion in place via Bridestowe, Lewdown and Lifton westbound and then reverse the route eastbound.

Inrix reports: "A30 in both directions closed due to accident, a tractor and a car involved from A386 ( Sourton Cross, Sourton Down) to A388 Tavistock Road (Launceston).

"Road closed between Launceston and Okehampton for an accident that has happened on the westbound side. Air Ambulance are in attendance."

There are currently no further details from Devon and Cornwall Police on this incident.

Devon Live has contacted the force and is waiting to hear back for more information.
