Ex-Wolves striker re-joins Airdrie for third spell of career

Airdrie have announced that former academy star Jordan Allan will return to the club for the third spell of his career.

The talented striker made history at the Diamonds when he became the youngest player to make his senior debut in Britain as a 14 year-old against Livingston in 2013.

Allan moved to Wolves in 2014 and spent four years with the English giants, including a spell on-loan at Airdrie, before moving back to Scotland to play for Cowdenbeath and Forfar.

The 22 year-old has returned to the place where his career began and Allan is delighted to be back home.

He told the Airdrie website : “I’m absolutely buzzing to be back and I’m looking forward to what will hopefully be a successful third spell at the club.

“Obviously I know the place well and still know a lot of people at the club, so I’m delighted to get the deal done.”

Airdrie boss Ian Murray added: “We’re pleased Jordan’s agreed to come back having been exposed to first-team football here at a very young age.

"It was a difficult thing to handle for him, but he did well and earned a move down south which was a great experience for him.

“He gave us a hard time last year, I like the way he runs the channels and is always in and around the box, and I think there’s a lot of improvement still to come from him.”
