Ex-UFC star Paige VanZant sells "kiss card" to adoring fan for £11,000

Ex-UFC fighter Paige VanZant has bizarrely sold a "kiss" card to a fan who won a bidding war for almost £11,000.

VanZant previously fought in the UFC where she shot to fame with a record of eight wins and five losses but she hasn't competed with the promotion since 2020. She signed a lucrative deal with bare-knuckle boxing promotion BKFC, where she has been competing alongside her other business interests including a high-profile OnlyFans account.

The fighting star has built up a significant fanbase from both her exploits inside and outside of the ring, who are known to pay absurd amounts of money for gestures from her. In a new bizarre way to generate cash, VanZant has sold a card that she has kissed in lipstick to fans in an auction-style sale online.

Incredibly, the bidding war went as high as £11,000 where a fan decided to put his money where his mouth was and purchase the card from VanZant. As an incredible proof of purchase, VanZant posted pictures on her Instagram of her kissing the card, before posing with it which eventually earned her a five-figure payday.

She thanked fans for their support in a social media post, which read: "Officially sold my first ever kiss card. Thank you to everyone who bid. This was a really cool experience for me.” Despite earning mega-bucks outside of fighting, it remains unclear what VanZant's immediate future holds.

'12 Gauge' has fought just twice in the bare-knuckle boxing ranks suffering decision defeats to Rachael Ostovich and Britain Hart with her initial plan to return to action in April. VanZant also has a contract with wrestling promotion All-Elite Wrestling, but similarly she has not appeared for quite some time since May 2022.

With her future with the BKFC in doubt, the promotion's chief Dave Feldman insisted he will be discussing it with VanZant but could terminate her contract if she is unable to appear in April. “I’m going to be talking to her this week and there’s a possibility that she returns on a big card we’ve got in April," Feldman said. "If she doesn’t, then it’s probable that she won’t be coming back to BKFC.

She’s making a lot of money doing her other businesses and maybe she doesn’t want to do this anymore, I will find out this week. “She is definitely welcome with the organisation it’s just a matter of what she wants to do. I think this helps her other revenue streams, it gives her notoriety to be able to get fans for her other revenue streams. I don’t think she’s going to turn it down because of money, I think the only reason she would turn it down is if she doesn’t have the desire to fight anymore."
