Logan Ryan was considered one of the Tennessee Titans’ most notable offseason losses this year after he was on the upswing last season.
That left the Titans with quite the void to fill at cornerback, and LSU’s Kristian Fulton will be among the players in the mix to keep Tennessee’s secondary solid after the team selected him in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Ryan, originally selected in third round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots, has still yet to find his next NFL landing spot.
And right now, he’s pitching himself to NFL teams as a safety. He recently replied to a tweet from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, saying that “numbers don’t lie.”
Depth and versatility is important for teams across the board — perhaps even more so in a year that continues to be surrounded by unprecedented circumstances as the NFL attempts to put on a season.
According to Pro Football Focus, Ryan saw 855 snaps at slot corner, 243 at wide corner, 180 in the box and 22 at free safety last year.
Rapoport reported back in March that Ryan was seeking $10 million per year in his next contract, and it will be curious to see if a team can meet the defensive back’s demands before the start of the season.
It will also be interesting to see where he ends up on the field wherever he ends up seeing a chance of scenery.
