Ex-Swansea City and Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal has got a new job in football

Former Swansea City boss Carlos Carvalhal has been appointed as manager of Portuguese outfit Rio Ave.

The Portuguese and the Swans parted company last May following the club's relegation from the Premier League.

He has worked with various media outlets over the course of the last 12 months but has regularly stated his desire to get back into management.

And on Monday, it was confirmed that Portuguese side Rio Ave have named Carvalhal as their new manager.

In a video confirming the news on their official Twitter account, Rio Ave used a number of Carvahlal's infamous quotes from his time with the Swans.

Rio Ave finished seventh in the Primeira Liga last term.

Carvalhal has signed a one-year deal with the club and will officially begin his duties on Tuesday.
