A former soldier has been remanded in custody, accused of murdering his former partner in her Townsville home.
Dane Andrew Pilcher, 36, allegedly stabbed the 32-year-old woman on Saturday night at her unit in Idalia.
Police said he faced a bedside hearing at the Townsville Hospital yesterday after injuring himself in the incident.
The matter is due to return to court in November.
