Ex-Sixer’s Sister Rips Team Amid James Harden Drama: ‘One Giant, Miserable S— Show’

The 76ers announced over the weekend that the franchise had no intention of trading James Harden, instead ending trade talks with other teams involving the former All-Star guard.

On Monday, a video circulated of Harden addressing fans and media in China, where he called team executive Daryl Morey a liar and declared that he’d never play for a franchise that Morey was a part of.

Fast-forward to Tuesday, and star center and reigning league MVP Joel Embiid scrubbed all references of the 76ers from his social media profile on X, the network formerly known as Twitter.

There’s nothing like a little bit of drama ahead of training camp, which opens next month across the NBA.

Anna Horford, the sister of Celtics center Al Horford, had no shortage of thoughts regarding the Philadelphia organization that her brother played for just a few short seasons ago.

“It’s almost like the entire organization is one giant, miserable s—show,” she posted to on X on Tuesday.

While 76ers fans may disagree with Horford’s sentiment, it’s clear that the franchise has some drama to iron out off the court without even thinking about the on-court ramifications this fall. Philadelphia is already trying to retool and take another step forward in the East under new coach Nick Nurse when the season tips off in October.

Philadelphia was eliminated by Boston in the East semifinals last season, and the franchise’s failure to reach the East finals led to the dismissal of coach Doc Rivers. Since then, it’s been nothing but drama for the 76ers, and it appears that there’s no end in sight.
