Former Rangers defender Kirk Broadfoot has joined the first-team coaching staff at Kilmarnock.

The 41-year-old has become a first-team coach at Rugby Park under another former Ibrox favourite, Neil McCann.

Broadfoot had been working at the club's under-19s but now moves up because of Craig Clark's departure to work under Derek McInnes at Rangers.

He is a former Kilmarnock player, making over 100 appearances, and joins McCann's backroom team which also includes Billy Dodds.

A club statement said: "Kilmarnock Football Club can confirm an update to its coaching staff ahead of the 2026/27 season.

"We are delighted to announce the appointment of Kirk Broadfoot as first team coach.

"Neil McCann has added the 41-year-old to his backroom team after the former defender, who made over 100 appearances for the club during his playing career, stepped up from our Under-19s side following the departure of Craig Clark earlier this summer.

"He joins Kevin McNeill, Graeme McArthur, Fraser Stewart, Ross Goodwin, Billy Dodds, McCann, Lee Thomson and Jordan Templeton in the first team set-up.

"The club wishes Kirk all the best in his new full time position at BBSP Stadium Rugby Park."
