East Kilbride boss Stevie Aitken has revealed former Rangers star Kyle Hutton will be their latest player to head out of K-Park on loan.
Paul Paton has gone to Airdrie, Chris Erskine and Steven Bell are at Partick Thistle, while Kieran McGrath has joined Peterhead as the Lowland League remains locked down during the lower league football suspension.
Aitken says they will all return in better condition than if they had been left cooling their heels - and Hutton is next on the temporary departure list.
He said: “We’ve been putting players out on loan to try and get them some game-time, so we’ve been working on that.
“Now that clubs have got back in League One and Two they’re looking at their squads, they’ve maybe picked up a couple of injuries, so there have been a couple of enquiries.
“Kyle Hutton has had a lot of enquiries, and we’re speaking to a number of clubs so I think in the next couple of days he will be out on loan as well, and we’ll see what comes in the coming days.
“The players are champing at the bit, and the good thing for me is that they’re out getting game-time, and if we do get back at least they will be getting back fresher than what they were.
“The down-side, as it is on any loan deal, is that they could get injured, but you have to weigh up every option.
“They’re keen to get out, I’m keen for them to get playing, so we’ll see what comes in the coming days.”
All players currently out on loan from EK have a clause, which will see them return to Kilby immediately if the Lowland League restarts this term.
