Giovanni van Bronckhorst has returned to Feyenoord as head coach on a two-year deal, with the option of a further year, the club have confirmed.
The former Rangers manager, who led the Ibrox side to the Europa League final in 2022, replaces Robin van Persie after the Dutchman was dismissed just 16 months into the role.

Van Bronckhorst, 51, had most recently been part of Arne Slot’s coaching staff at Liverpool, but left earlier this month following the Dutchman’s departure from Anfield.
He is no stranger to Feyenoord, having previously managed the club between 2015 and 2019, winning back-to-back KNVB Cups and guiding them to the Eredivisie title in 2017.
Reflecting on his return, van Bronckhorst said: “When you’ve been part of the club since you were seven years old... yes, Feyenoord is a big part of my life.”
