Former Rangers defender David Bates has completed a move from Standard Liege to Turkish side Amedspor.
The centre-back has been with the Belgian giants since 2024, signing a three-year contract but only seeing out two of them.
Ambitious Amedspor will play in the Super Lig next season for the first time in their history after winning promotion from the second tier.
And they have confimed a deal for Scotland cap Bates, signing him on a two-year contract with the option of a third.

They said on social media: "Our club has signed a 2+1 year contract with center back David Bates in order to strengthen the defensive line in line with the squad planning for the 2026–2027 season. "We welcome David Bates to our club and wish him a season full of successes under the Amedspor jersey."
Bates joined Rangers from Raith Rovers in 2016, initially on loan before making it permanent, and went on to play 22 times for the club.
He made his first move abroad to Germany with Hamburg before loans at Sheffield Wednesday at Cercle Brugge. A year-long spell at Aberdeen followed before heading back to Belgium with Mechelen.
