Clyde defender Tom Lang says a lot of his former youth teammates at Rangers have stopped playing football.
The 23 year-old defender moved to the Glasgow side in 2015 when he decided to leave Birmingham City.
Lang played in the youth setup at Rangers and with Scotland but he admits that lots of his former teammates have been lost to the game in the subsequent years.
He revealed: “At Scotland, Scott Wright was there and he’s just earned a move to Rangers.
"Greg Kiltie was also part of the group but it’s amazing how some of the boys are doing really well but others aren’t playing anymore.
“From Rangers, there are probably only two or three of the group who’ve kicked on. Ross McCrorie is doing really well, Ryan Hardie’s forged a good career and Jordan Thompson is playing well down south.

“Other than that, a lot of the boys have just dropped out of football completely. You’ve just got to keep plodding along as you’re lucky to still be involved and hopefully you can keep improving everyday.”
The 23 year-old’s great grandfather was Newcastle United legend Tommy Lang who played over 200 games for the Magpies and won the FA Cup in 1932.
Unlike his legendary family member who was born in Larkhall, the Clyde defender was born in Oxford before moving to Scotland to join Rangers from Birmingham
“I was brought up in England and it was just by chance that I’ve moved to Scotland and stayed here,” Lang said.

“Because I had loads of Scotland call-ups at youth level, when I knew that I was leaving Birmingham City then Rangers were straight on the phone.
“That’s how I ended up here and I’ve never left. I have a family up here - my auntie and great auntie stay in Larkhall - and people I know from my Scotland days which makes it easier.
“My long-term plan is to move back to England eventually but I’m enjoying my football up here so hopefully I can kick on at Raith.”
