Former Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has reportedly been sounded out by Leeds as pressure mounts on Daniel Farke.
The Dutch coach is thought to be amongst three potential successors to Farke should he be relieved of his duties by the Championship club.
Leeds currently sit second in the English Championship but could return to the top of the table with a victory over Bristol City on Monday evening.
49ers Enterprises chief Paraag Marathe, involved in talks for the takeover at Rangers, is expected to fly into the UK to discuss Farke's future at the club.
It's claimed there are doubts from some in the 49ers consortium over whether Farke is best placed to lead the club in the Premier League.
The German manager has two years left on his contract at Leeds and would reportedly be entitled to a one-year pay-off if he was sacked by the club.

The Guardian reports that Leeds have already carried out initial discussions with a handful of potential candidates, including former Rangers boss Van Bronckhorst.
Ex-Bayern Leverkusen coach Roger Schmidt and Davide Ancelotti, son of Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, have also been reportedly approached for initial talks.
Van Bronckhorst is a free agent after leaving Besiktas.
Asked about whether he'd be interested in the Rangers post should he be a contender to become the new permanent boss, Van Bronckhorst said: "No.
"For me, that book is closed. Maybe as a fan, but no."
