Giovanni van Bronckhorst has broken his silence on his shock link to become the new Leeds United boss.
But the ex-Rangers manager stressed he had no contact with the newly-promoted Yorkshire club.
Van Bronckhorst has been out of work since he was axed as Besiktas boss earlier this season after a disastrous spell in Turkish football.
But he was linked with a surprise move to become the new boss of the Elland Road side after Rangers' prospective new owners, 49ers Enterprises, reportedly expressed doubts over the suitability of current manager Daniel Farke to manage in the Premier League after he was relegated at Norwich City.
Van Bronckhorst was working pitchside as a Dutch TV pundit this week during his former club Barcelona's Champions League semi-final with Inter Milan.
And the ex-Ibrox boss was asked directly about whether he was going to be the new manager of Leeds.
He said: "Yes, I read about it. But there's nothing going on at the moment.
"Are Leeds a nice club? Definitely.
"I am enjoying life now, but I think it would be nice to be back on the pitch."

And he was backed for the job by his former Rangers teammate Ronald de Boer, who was also working with Dutch TV.
De Boer said: "We'll see what happens, but I would think it would be a nice club for him.
"Leeds is potentially a club that could become very big.
"I certainly think of them as a sleeping giant."
