Ex-Rangers attacker's next move revealed after disappointing loan spell

Andreas Skov Olsen is set to join Istanbul Basaksehir, following his disappointing loan at Rangers.

The Danish winger is leaving Wolfsburg for another loan move, this time in Turkey, after struggling to make an impact at Ibrox, where he started only seven Premiership matches and scored once. As a result, Rangers opted not to exercise their purchase option.

Now, Sky Sports Germany's Florian Plettenberg has reported that Skov Olsen's medical is underway and the signing will be completed within 24 hours.

Despite previous links to Besiktas, the 26-year-old will join Istanbul rivals Basaksehir, who have an option to make the deal permanent for a reported fee of €5 million (£4.2 million).

This is significantly lower than the price Rangers were quoted earlier in the year.

The move marks a significant drop in valuation for the winger, who has previously generated around £25 million in transfer fees across his career.
