Airdrie have completed the signing of Rhys McCabe after the talented midfielder left Queen of the South.
The 28-year-old began his career at Rangers before moving south to join Sheffield Wednesday where he enjoyed a three-year spell.
McCabe played was an important member of Queen of the South's side in the Championship last season and he made 26 appearances in total for the Dumfries side.
He will bolster Airdrie's midfield options and the former Scotland under-21 internationalist is targeting a promotion push in League One next season.
McCabe told the Airdrie website : “I’m delighted to finally get this sorted out and over the line after a couple of weeks of talks.
“I’m looking forward to helping the team push on this year - hopefully we can go one better and achieve promotion to the Championship.”

Diamonds boss Ian Murray added: "We’re delighted to get Rhys - he’s the kind of central midfielder that we’ve been crying out for for a long time, and he’ll complement Scott Agnew very well.
“The spine of our team is coming together, and the experience Rhys had gained playing down south and in the Championship will be valuable for us.
“He’s a lovely footballer and a good passer of the ball who can get up and down the pitch. It’s a good signing for us and hopefully another statement of intent as we prepare for the upcoming season.”
