Ex-Rams hopeful Nate Holley attempting NFL comeback after CFL cancelation

The Los Angeles Rams could use some help at linebacker this season after the departure of Cory Littleton, and one of their former training camp hopefuls is attempting to make a comeback. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, ex-Rams safety-turned-linebacker Nate Holley is trying to make it back in the NFL after the CFL canceled its 2020 season.

Holley didn’t wind up making the team in 2018 as he was waived before the start of the season, but it seems he could be a player of interest this offseason as he attempts his comeback.

He played safety at Kent State and went undrafted in 2018. He signed with the CFL’s Calgary Stampeders in 2019 and made 78 tackles on defense with one sack and an interception. He earned Most Outstanding Rookie honors for his play, shining early on in his CFL career.

The Rams have been steadfast on using the players they currently have, so they probably won’t bite on signing Holley, but it seems a team could give him a chance in camp.
