Ex-Queen of the South winger is 11th summer signing for Hamilton Accies

Hamilton Accies have signed winger Connor Murray on a permanent deal after he left Queen of the South.

Murray, 25, is the 11th summer signing in at New Douglas Park, following defenders Lee Kilday Jackson Longridge, Kyle MacDonald, Stephen Hendrie and Reghan Tumilty, midfielders Jamie Barjonas and Dylan Tait, winger Euan Henderson and strikers Kevin O'Hara and Joe McGlynn.

The forward has played at Palmerston Park for two spells, but also been at Partick Thistle and a loan stint at Gretna.

Hamilton Accies' Gerry Strain said: "Connor was a player identified by [manager John Rankin] and his staff as being a key part of our plans really early on, and he has also been part of our pre-season programme since the very beginning.

"Both Connor and his agent, Phil McTaggart, have been really supportive and accommodating of our club these last several weeks, as we've done all that we can to make this permanent signing possible.

"We look forward to seeing Connor in action for us this season and hopefully beyond."
