A former Primark employee has revealed some store secrets that customers might not know about.
Nicole Scott, 28, from Bedford, was excited to start working in her town's store after a successful interview with the manager.
But from the moment she started, she said she knew things would be "difficult".
With the clothing giant looking to reopen its doors on April 12, Nicole has shared what her experience was like working there.
Speaking to Fabulous, she said that "every day was manic, but Saturdays would be crazy".
She recalls crowds of people heading towards the tills, often shouting and calling out - especially around the £1 thong table, which made her wonder how it's going to be possible to social distance under those circumstances.
Unsurprisingly, trying to keep the store clean during these busy periods was incredibly tough.
She said she'd often tidy a table, turn around, and a moment later it'd need to be tidied again.
Nicole, who now works for another company, spoke about how working in the jewellery department, in particular, was a nightmare.
On a number of occasions, she claims she would be sent to the back room where she'd spend hours unpicking tangled necklaces.
She says finding anything in the stockroom was also quite the task as nothing was ever put in the right place after a delivery arrived.
"People would ask for something in a different size and my heart would just sink," she admitted.
"Because no-one ever knew where anything was."
Whilst there weren't usually any issues handling customer's returns, she recalls an occasion where one wasn't granted - and for a very good reason.
She said: "It was usually fine... but once someone returned used underwear with all the tags cut off. Obviously, we couldn't accept that. They were pretty angry."
But this wasn't the only reason customers got annoyed.
Despite the chain's budget prices, she said there were times that people would get angry if things went through the till at a more expensive price than what appeared on the tag - even if it was only 50p dearer.
Primark declined to comment.
