Ex-Packer Ahman Green plays small role in 'Batman vs. Superman'

Jan. 29--Ahman Green used to be a nemesis of the Bears, now he'll play a villian of sorts in the upcoming "Batman vs. Superman" movie.

The former Green Packers running back will play "Thug No. 2" in the movie starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, which comes out March 25. Green talked to the "Just Not Sports" podcast Thursday about how he got the role.

He met director Zack Snyder in Vancouver when Snyder was shooting the 2013 movie "Man of Steel."

"After we hung out and talked at dinner, he was like, 'Ahman, I got to get you in a movie.' And I said look, one of my favorite movies of all time I heard you're about to direct .. is the next Batman movie. ... And he was like, 'Yeah, we'll try to get on it,' " Green said.

It didn't hurt that Snyder is a Packers fan who was born in Green Bay.

"I just stayed consistent contacting him and then finally i got a call from Warner Bros. Studios about setting up flights and this is where we're shooting," Green said. "It was two summers ago, now, so summer of 2014, and it was just like, yes, here we go."

Green wouldn't reveal any spoilers but said he's more than an extra: "I got a lot of camera time." He added he plans to come out with "Thug No. 2" T-shirts.
