Ex On The Beach star ZaraLena Jackson will undergo alopecia treatment after losing all her hair last year.
The model and influencer noticed clumps of her hair were falling out last summer and had no body hair within six weeks.
ZaraLena said the experience had been "torture", but now plans to undergo UV light therapy at the start of next year in a bid to get her hair to grow back.
Speaking to Lancashire Live she said: ""Losing all your hair - especially at a young age - leaves you feeling like a deer in the headlights.
"It's not just the hair on your head but losing all your eyebrows and eyelashes is the worst feeling ever - it makes you look ill and it's devastating.
"I couldn't get any answers, it felt like I was screaming for help and nobody could hear."
The influencer, who went on MTV's Ex On The Beach in 2017, says since sharing her journey she's been inundated with messages from other alopecia sufferers.
“I chose to be very open and share my alopecia experience online from day one – because social media is saturated with people who paint the perfect life and I wanted to show a different side to things," she explained.
However after sharing her story ZaraLena has also sadly been attacked by online trolls.
The comments came after the model, 29, posted two images of herself side by side, one with long blonde wig and the other without.
Taking to Instagram to speak out against the abuse, ZaraLena called the culprits 'insecure little worms', and thanked fans for their support.
She posted: "Legit faced some serious trolling on social media lately in regards to my HAIRLOSS, but that’s fine by me. I’m happy to take the abuse from insecure little worms if it means showing everyone Alopecia isn’t something to hide, and I’ll keep posting with or without my wig. Regardless."
The Preston-born star made the brave move to shave her head in September last year.
She told her Instagram followers that she's fine if people don't think she's beautiful but slammed those who 'slate' others behind their phones for their ill unfortunate situation.
