Ex On The Beach star ZaraLena Jackson slams trolls over cruel hair loss taunts

MTV Ex On The Beach contestant ZaraLena Jackson has slammed cruel trolls who have attacked her hair loss due to alopecia.

The model, 29, posted two semi-nude images of herself side by side, showing her stripped down to her satin lingerie, one with long bleach blonde hair and other without.

But she was quick to condemn those who trolled her wig-wearing due to alopecia, meaning her hair falls out.

She took to Instagram to speak out against the trolls, calling them 'insecure little worms', and thanked fans for their support.

The post reads: "Legit faced some serious trolling on social media lately in regards to my HAIRLOSS, but that’s fine by me. I’m happy to take the abuse from insecure little worms if it means showing everyone Alopecia isn’t something to hide, and I’ll keep posting with or without my wig. Regardless."

But she maintained her hair loss has made her 'skin thicker' from the abuse and focus on what really matters.

She added: "My skin will only become thicker, and my eyes are being opened more and more each day to what really matters. It’s amazing how Alopecia makes you see life differently."

ZaraLena, who shot to fame on the sixth season of the programme, which aired in 2017, has been documenting her battle on social media and spoke about the impact of hair loss.

The Preston-born star took the empowering move to shave her head in September 2020 as she says her "immune system is attacking itself" due to the condition.

She told Instagram followers in the latest post that she's fine if people don't think she's beautiful but condemned those who 'slate' others behind phones for their disadvantages.

She signed off the post with a swear-fuelled rant to her trolls adding: "So here’s another BIG f*** you Alopecia / trolls, and a reminder to myself that I am making the difference. Nothing is going to stop me. "

Alopecia is an autoimmune condition', where your immune system attacks hair follicles.

Doctors don't actually know why it happens. But they think people who get it have something in their genes.
