Ex-Notts County defender Rob Milsom attracting interest from several National League clubs

Rob Milsom is attracting serious interest from several clubs with Dagenham and Redbridge said to be keen on sealing a move for the midfielder.

Milsom was released by Notts at the end of last season after his contract expired with the Magpies unable to offer him fresh terms as a result of the club's financial position, with a takeover still to be completed.

But the former Rotherham ace has not struggled for interest with Peter Taylor's Dagenham hoping to complete  a move for the 32-year-old midfielder, who can also play left-back.

Sutton United, who finished just outside the play-offs last season in the National League, are also said to be keen on Milsom as they look to build a squad capable of challenging for promotion.

Milsom was switched to left-back by Notts boss Neal Ardley  for the second half of last season and made the position his own.

This was after he had waived a clause in his contract that guaranteed him another year's deal at the club once he had played 25 games.

Milsom made more than 100 appearances for Notts across a four-year spell having originally signed under Ricardo Moniz in the summer of 2015 having signed on a free transfer from Rotherham.

He briefly left the club last summer to join Crawley, but was re-signed by Notts again in August as he followed then Magpies boss Harry Kewell to Meadow Lane.
