Ex-Nottingham Forest youngster pens fresh deal at Scottish outfit Hearts

Former Nottingham Forest academy graduate Jake Mulraney has penned a new deal at Scottish Premiership side Hearts.

The 23-year-old winger impressed at Tynecastle last season having made the move from Inverness Caledonian Thistle, making 30 appearances, and has now penned a fresh three-year deal in Edinburgh.

Mulraney was released by Forest in 2014, having spent two years at the club following his arrival from Dublin-based Crumlin United.

After leaving Forest, the Irishman went on to sign for Ilkeston and then QPR when they were in the Premier League.

Since then, the ex-Forest youngster has spent loan spells at Dagenham and Stevenage prior to his move north of the border.

“The gaffer mentioned it to me at the start of the season and I’m just delighted to get it all done now,” he said.

“I started last season very slow and as it went on I probably got a little bit worse up until the end of December, early January,” he told the Jam Tarts website.

“Then I started to get more involved, started to play a bit more and started to get my confidence back.

“I got into a bit of a rhythm and got games, and it all came good.

“It’s definitely a confidence booster that the manager wanted me here for another three seasons.

“Hopefully I can repay him with some good performances.”
