YAMUNANAGAR: The son of a former Radaur legislator is among those booked for a group attack on the town’s station house officer (SHO) in an attempt to steal a body.
It all started with injuries to Aud Colony resident Anil Kumar (38) in a group attack by the rivals on July 21. Anil died in a hospital on July 30 and his autopsy was conducted at the Yamunanagar civil hospital on July 31. Radaur SHO Sukhwinder Singh was heading to Radaur after Anil’s autopsy, with the body in a trailing ambulance, when near Dhaurang village, a group of 60 attacked the squad.
He identified Gaurav and Narender of Radauri village and Deepak of Jubbal as part of that attack. The SHO claimed: “They grabbed me by the scuff of the neck and pulled me out of my vehicle, just like the ex-MLA’s son had threatened me on phone during Anil’s autopsy.”
