Ex-MLA's PA and his wife suicide case: Kalyan session court grants bail to three accused

KALYAN: The Kalyan session court on Tuesday granted bail to three accused including Ex-NCP Ulhasnagar city's spokesperson Kamlesh Nikam in suicide case of Ex-MLA Jyoti Kalani’s PA Nandkumar Nanavare and his wife. The two other accused are Naresh Gaikwad and Ganpat Kamble.

The Thane crime branch probing the duo's suicide case last month on August 18 had arrested four accused including Nikam and Shashikant Sakhe who is PA of Shiv Sena MLA Balaji Kinikar.

Arjun Bhojraj Jeswani, an advocate appearing for three accused said, "On 29 August we had moved into Kalyan session court for bail and on Tuesday judge Shivaji Kachare granted bail after the argument held on Monday".

Nandkumar — who has worked with many politicians in Ulhasnagar and Satara, including former MLA Jyoti Kalani and her husband and ex-MLA Pappu Kalani — had ended life along with his wife on August 1 by jumping from the terrace of their Ulhasnagar bungalow.

Nandkumar, with his wife, had left two videos and two suicide notes in which they had mentioned about harrassment they and their family were facing from many people including Nikam.

The couple has also named Satara-based BJP MP Ranjeetsingh Nimbalkar in their video as well as suicide note.
