Ex-Middlesbrough defender snapped up by Clyde

Clyde have signed former Middlesbrough defender Matthew Elsdon on amateur terms.

The 24-year-old has also had spells at Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Barrow, Whitby, FC United of Manchester and Blyth Spartans.

Elsdon, who represented England at under-17 level, goes straight into the squad for tonight's SPFL Trust Trophy first round clash at Broomhill.
