Ex-Man Utd star Zlatan Ibrahimovic mocks Liverpool's injury crisis

Zlatan Ibrahimovic poked fun at Liverpool's injury crisis while appearing at Sanremo Festival in Italy.

The former Manchester United striker is well aware of the Old Trafford club's rivalry with the Reds, and couldn't help having a joke at their expense during the public appearance.

Liverpool have been hit exceptionally hard with injuries this season, with Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Fabinho, Joel Matip, Jordan Henderson and Diogo Jota among those to miss games for the Reds this campaign.

While talking at the opening night of the Sanremo Festival, which runs from March 2-6, Ibrahimovic joked about one day hosting his own festival.

He explained he'd need a pitch as big as the San Siro for the event, before poking fun at the crisis on Jurgen Klopp's hands.

"First of all, the Zlatan Festival will have 22 singers," he said. "Eleven against eleven otherwise it is not regulated.

"I'll sell four since there are 27 singers in the competition, there is Liverpool looking for defenders, otherwise I'll put them in the garden and let them work.

"The second rule concerns the stage, that's not good, it's made for little people like you (addressed to host Amadeus).

"I need 105 by 68 meters like San Siro, otherwise the Festival is cancelled for me."
