Ex-Man Utd prospect to exit Cardiff City on loan, Derby County edge closer to sign £15m ex-Liverpool winger and Nottingham Forest finalise £5m deal

Sang set for loan exit

Cardiff City prospect Tom Sang is set for a loan move to Cheltenham Town.

According to  GloucestershireLive, the former Manchester United prospect is set to be drafted in to help fill the attacking gap left by Ryan Broom after his switch to Peterborough.

Sang is regarded as one of Cardiff's brightest young prospects, and came off the bench during City's defeat to Northampton Town in the League Cup at the beginning of the season.

Ibe set for Rams return

Derby County are edging closer to signing former Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe.

The Telegraph report that Ibe could have a medical on Monday and sign a two-year deal.

The 24-year-old is a free agent after leaving Premier League side Bournemouth at the end of last season.

Ibe enjoyed a loan spell with the Rams during the 2014-15 season when he scored five times in 20 league appearances.

He then left parent club Liverpool to join Bournemouth for £15m in July 2016.

Forest close in on McKenna

Nottingham Forest are closing in on the signing of Aberdeen midfielder Scott McKenna.

The 23-year-old has been on the Reds’ radar for some time, with the club having tried to sign him last summer.

The Scotland international is thought to have travelled south for a medical on Monday, ahead of completing a permanent switch.

The deal is worth £3m up front, but could reach £5m with various add-ons, according to the Daily Record.

It is said Aberdeen have a sell-on clause which could see them bag more than 20 percent of any future sale.

McKenna was left out of his club’s matchday squad on Sunday for their defeat to Motherwell, with manager Derek McInnes confirming a "significant" offer had been made.

Bees swoop for Thompson

Brentford have signed former Chelsea goalkeeper Jared Thompson.

The 21-year-old has put pen to paper on a short-term contract and will link up with Brentford's B team initially.

Thompson previously spent some time training with the Bees following his departure from Chelsea in 2017.

He has since had spells playing for Chippenham Town and Exeter City.
