Ex-Lions CB Teez Tabor signs with 49ers practice squad

Former Detroit Lions cornerback Teez Tabor has landed with a new team. The San Francisco 49ers added Tabor to their practice squad on Monday.

It marks the first time Tabor has been with any NFL team other than Detroit. He was cut by the Lions after a disappointing preseason where he battled an injury that kept him from progressing.

Tabor was the Lions’ second-round pick in 2017 out of Florida but quickly proved to be unable to live up to that relative level of draft hype. His lack of speed was too much for Tabor to overcome in a defense that relies upon man coverage and often plays with just one safety over the top.
