Ex-Lions CB Nevin Lawson facing 4-game suspension for PEDs

Former Detroit Lions starting cornerback Nevin Lawson revealed he is facing a 4-game suspension to start his first season with the Oakland Raiders.

Lawson was with the Lions from 2014-2018, and was a starter for the final three years after beginning as a nickel back. He left the Lions this offseason and latched on with the Raiders on a 1-year contract, hoping to bet on himself and prove he can be worthy of a long-term deal.

That plan will take a big hit if Lawson is indeed suspended. The cornerback took to his social media feed to try and preemptively explain any forthcoming suspension:

If he is suspended, he will be the second 2018 Lions player now with another team to be suspended for PEDs, joining WR Golden Tate of the New York Giants.
