Ex-Leeds loanee and Nottingham Forest 'target' set to complete move to Championship rival

According to reports in the national press, Jack Clarke is putting the finishing touches on his move back to the Championshp.

The Tottenham winger returned to North London earlier this month, after cutting short his loan spell with Leeds United.

Clarke left Elland Road in the summer, signing for Spurs in a deal worth around £10m, before being sent straight back to Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

However, the 19-year-old failed to make an impact back at his boyhood club, making only three apperances.

Nottingham Forest were one of a number clubs reported to be interested in signing him for the second half of the season.

Along with the Reds, Middlesbrough, Millwall, Stoke City, Fulham, Brentford, Derby County and Celtic, were all credited with an interest.

But according to the Guardian, Queens Park Rangers have won the race for Clarke and he should sign in time for this weekend’s clash with Leeds United.

Clarke is one of two former Leeds loanees linked with the Garibaldi in January. The other, Eddie Nketiah has yet to decide on his future, however a website error has dropped a major hint that Sabri Lamouchi could be set to miss out on him as well.

The striker was shown with a Bristol City badge next to his profile, suggesting a move could be imminent.
