A former Krispy Kreme employee is issuing a serious warning to customers, urging them never to buy the brand’s donuts from Walmart after spotting a date label that looked nearly a year old. The Skyrim TikTok creator @i_am_naiwal recently posted a video challenging Krispy Kreme’s famous “delivered fresh daily” slogan after finding what he believed was an incredibly outdated box while shopping.
He filmed the clip on October 30, 2025, but the box was stamped with a supposed “best by” date of January 1, 2025. Per Daily Dot, this suggested the sweet treats had been sitting around for almost eleven months. If that date is accurate, this is awful for anyone expecting a fresh, delicious donut, especially considering the brand’s reputation for hot, ready-to-eat products.
The creator didn’t just guess about the company’s practices; he used to work there. Holding up the questionable box, Naiwal directly addressed his followers, telling them, “I’m recording this October 30th, 2025. Do not buy these d*mn Krispy Kreme donuts.” He expressed serious doubts about the company’s partnership with Walmart, believing the dated label suggested the donuts were far older than any consumer would expect.

Naiwal’s harsh critique painted a pretty unflattering picture of the product logistics, naturally sparking a huge discussion online about Krispy Kreme’s delivery process. Was it possible the box truly wasn’t fresh? At least no one received death threats over these donuts, as we’ve seen before.

He stated, “As someone who used to work there, do not drink their soda. All that stuff is rotted out. It’s gross. They never change it, okay? This is the stickiest place you could work.” While he focused mainly on the questionable delivery date, Naiwal made sure to note that he wasn’t making broad accusations or slander, just sharing his personal memories of working there. Regardless of whether the date was a printing mistake or a logistical failure, the video cast doubt on whether the boxes at Walmart truly come from “your local shop.”

The system is supposed to ensure freshness, but if you’re seeing a date that looks nearly a year old on a box, you absolutely shouldn’t take the risk. Even if it was just a printing error, it’s not a good look for a product that prides itself on being delivered fresh daily.
